Instructions
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan over a low heat. Add the spices to the oil and stir until fragrant. Add 500ml water and 125g of split red lentils. Add the garlic and chillies and stir. Bring to the boil then simmer for 20 minutes (uncovered) until your lentils are soft, then serve with a squeeze of lemon.
