This is a spicy side dish, packed full of goodness and flavour. The turmeric gives this dish it’s authentic taste, whilst the extra hit of garlic and birds eye chillies ensures it will stand up next to your favourite curry dish.
Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan over a low heat. Add spice pack 1 to the oil and stir until fragrant. Add 500ml water and 125g of split red lentils. Add spice pack 2 and stir. Bring to the boil then simmer for 20 minutes (uncovered) until your lentils are soft, then serve with a squeeze of lemon.
Dehydrated garlic. Ground spices (Chilli, turmeric). Whole spices (Birds eye chillies). Salt.
